Drypoint is a method of engraving that uses a pointed tool to scratch an image onto a plate: but what material is the plate made of ? This workshop will guide you through the creation of original prints, from start to finish, using easily available and recyclable materials such as Tetra Pak® and rhènalon, a transparent and rigid material.
These ready-to-use materials save time and money, allowing you to work freely and spontaneously plus both can be easily cut into shapes and then printed.
You will learn to incise, texture, ink, dampen paper and print your plates with a professional press that will instantly bring your creation to life, taking on the form of an inverted image.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a series of limited prints to sign, edition and give away!
NB: Please make sure you bring a rigid folder to take your work home with you.
