Paper Folding
In a nutshell
Whilst this workshop has its roots in the noble and slightly intimidating art of Japanese origami, the similarity stops there !
The point of contemporary paper folding is not to make the perfect, faultless fold, but to have lots of fun using easily available papers to make three dimensional objects.
- You will return home with a bag of paper goodies all made by you and the knowledge to amaze, amuse and share your learning with other people.
- This workshop is run by Katya, aka Paperwoman, a paper artist and papermaker.
- No experience necessary.

A piece of paper in your hands is an incredible opportunity! You have the power to give it life, to accompany and transform it, to have fun while learning simple and useful gestures.
Let yourself be inspired, guided and carried away by all the kinds of paper around you: often destined for the bin, recovered paper is a rich, inexhaustible and free resource. Damaged books, magazines, posters, road maps, tourist guides, brochures, advertising leaflets, sales catalogues, postcards, stamps, sweet wrappers…all have great potential !
Depending on its character and size, you can choose the shape you want to give it: boxes, flowers, masks, books, stars, banners, hats, disguises…there is literally no limit to what you can do with a simple piece of paper!
